Did you know the lens of a camera and its design is based on the eye? The aperture you choose, to allow more or less light into the lens in a set time, is the same as the iris of our eyes expanding in low light and contracting in sharp sunlight. Our focus planes are therefore shorter at night, but it’s quite romantic as whatever you are focussing on is sharp and the rest of the world is blurred out and removed from your mind.
